The 2018 W&S Open had a repeat of the Men’s finals from 2015 when I did my last major virtual tour here. Novak Djokovic finally wins this tournament after having been in these finals on 5 previous times without an ultimate victory. Winning this tournament completes Novak’s quest to become the first player to have won a title at all of the 9 ATP Masters 1000 events. He defeats 2015 champion Roger Federer who was attempting a record 8th finals victory here. Either way it would be an historic final match.
On the women’s side, it was Kiki Bertens winning in her first appearance at a W&S Open final. She upsets #1 ranked Simona Halep who still seeks her first title here even though being in the 3 of the last 4 finals at this event.
This tour also highlights the new rebuilt South Building
This interactive tour features the newly rebuilt South Building and somewhat of the atmosphere and environment of the 2018 Western & Southern Tennis Open located in the Greater Cincinnati city of Mason, Ohio.
The Western & Southern Open originated in 1899 and has been a fixture in the Cincinnati area ever since. The list of champions is a who’s who of tennis greats with over 100 international Hall of Famers having played here.
