The Anacapa project is an update from the original version from several years ago and includes 4 more panorama views that were not previously published. Anacapa Island is a very rugged and desolate place worth a visit. The images are from October when most of the vegetation has died back making it look even more barren. In the spring the island comes alive with the greening of the plants and especially the giant, brilliant yellow coreopsis flowers. Anacapa is part of the larger chain called the Channel Islands and includes Santa Rosa Island, San Miguel Island, Santa Barbara Island, and Santa Cruz Island.

The pipe organ at Old St Mary’s Church in Cincinnati was recently rebuilt and renovated. The original organ was contracted from the Austin Organ Company on July 12th 1929 and when installed was the 2nd largest organ in Cincinnati. This virtual tour explores the inner workings of the organ chest which houses the organ pipes. Some of the views include various chambers of the organ under reconstruction and without the new pipes installed. Other views include the new pipes installed. The tour opens with sounds from the whole organ and as you explore the various views you can experience the sound quality from the pipes in that particular view by clicking on the little keyboard icon. Be sure especially to click the little keyboard in the Pedal Organ view, those are fun! Old St Mary’s is the oldest church in Cincinnati being dedicated on July 3rd, 1842. To see some more panorama views of Old St Mary’s check out my previous post here.

During our Siemens project in Florida, the hotel we were staying at happened to be very close to the Cocoa Beach Pier and Ron Jon Surf Shop. I produced a few panoramas featuring those landmarks and put them together here in a single virtual tour. If the beach seems kind of empty for Florida, it is because we were there in the middle of January during one of the coldest weeks they have had for many years.
